- When was the first time you had to defend your gayness?

2. What advice do you want to give younger kids coming out?
“You have value. Whoever you are and however you choose to express yourself. Hold that feeling and knowledge tight, no matter who tries to shake it.”
3. Why do you think it’s important to show the world who we are as a community?
“Speaking as a member of the lesbian community specifically, I think every strong, confident, and powerful group of women that exists is another much needed and long fought for beacon.”
4. What are your hopes for the gay kids of the future?
“I hope gay kids of the future grow up with kindness and excitement in their lives, rather than fear and confusion.”
